What does it cost to compete?

Shared costs across the squad that sponsorship helps offset. The numbers below are a guide to the actual costs, and are subject to change as we finalise the details throughout the year.

	Medical Physio Keeping players healthy and tournament-ready requires professional medical and physiotherapy support. We don’t have medical emergencies every year, but they do happen, and in those moments it makes a huge difference to have expert medical support in the team.	£3,000
	Management & Coaching Staff Each of the GB Youth squads has player-funded volunteers in Squad Manager, Lead and Assistant Coach roles. The team also funds our GBY Programme Manager travel costs. Sometimes there are additional assistant coaches, but their costs are not funded by players.	£3,000
	Entry fees Entry fees to International Ultimate events are a combination of a Team Fee and individual Player Fees.	£3,000
	Player Accommodation Accommodation for the duration of the tournament is always a major component of the total cost. Options for different tournaments can vary quite a bit, as we seek to strike the balance between cost and ensuring everyone can be well-rested across a physically and emotionally demanding week!	£3,000
	Food Food costs also mount up across a week (or longer) of accommodation in and around the tournament. Keeping the players well-fueled is critical.	£3,000
	Transport to tournament Flights and transfers	£9,000
	Training Each squad trains or meets on average once a month between selection and the tournament. Costs include venue hire, travel expenses for volunteers, and sometimes overnight accommodation and food.	£5,000
	Misc Other Costs Includes Local travel, team gifts, MVP Gifts, Insurance and Player hats and other unforeseen costs	£2,500
	Total	£31,500

Where does the money go?

All funds go directly to UK Ultimate, who use it to offset player participation costs. There are no platform fees deducted from your donation.
